Sooooo, yep, I turned 38 today. Every time I sit on the couch, within 5 minutes there are at least 2 cats on me. So guess who I'm feeling like?
Am I middle aged yet?
I got a GIGANTIC ice cream cake that said "Happy Birvalenversary Dee" (we got engaged on Valentine's Day so it's an anniversary of sorts) from my sweet hubby. "Why didn't you get a smaller cake," I asked as I cut it into pieces and put the leftovers in approximately a half dozen containers to go in the freezer. "I didn't think they could fit 'Happy Birvalenversary' on a smaller one." He was right about that. It ran over the icing border of even the monstrous sheet cake. Apparently you do not hyphenate icing. I will never eat my way through all of it so if you're in my neck of the woods drop by for cake. Call first.
Anyway, just wanted to drop in and let y'all know I'll be back to blogging full speed tomorrow after a busy weekend, barring unforseen circumstances. Like turning 38 and 1 day. Or being smothered by a pile of cats.
Since it's mostly down the "hill" from here, if you've been pondering buying something from me I'm offering 20% off anything in You've Got Maille or Second Renaissance for anyone that says Happy Birvalenversary in the comments to seller at purchase time, for the rest of the week. Blog exclusive. Don't you feel special?

I hope you had a wonderful birthday! I love the idea of a birvalenversary.
Hope you had a wonderful birthday celebration, you're not getting older, but better, like fine wine that!
Happy Belated Birthday!
And I am impressed that he came up with that unique saying for the cake!! Shows he was thinking. :) He sounds like a keeper!
And you can't be the crazy cat lady until you have at least 10....lol
Take care,
Kat
ps: ugghh my word verification down below is: ulogy....hmmmmm? I don't like it, lol
Happy birthday & sort of anniversary!!! I'll bring some coffee over to join you for cake. =)
Pfft, Dee OLD? Never, such a thing is not possible. We all know that cats soak up energy and convert it into fuzziness, so the magnetic effect you observed must have been due to your increased vitality and youthful vigor. That, or you were wearing black clothes.
Sounds like you had a very happy birvalenversary indeed! I hope your next year is even more awesome than the last!
Happy Birthday! Hope you had a wonderful time with hubby, cats, cake and all! But you are wrong - no down hill at all. Remember: life begins at 40. And it is true because as women we have finally grown up enough to know what we want. No is no, yes is yes. No more compromises, just follow your heart and your dreams!

Thanks guys! :) You make me feel like a kid again. Except for this ache in my back...
well, that was sweet, that hubby got you a cake! I'd bring the leftovers, or at least most of them, to work!
Can't do it, I work at home. Just me, all by myself, sitting at home with most of a cake. And Valentine chocolate. I am going to be the fat crazy cat lady by next week! :)
I know what you mean about the two cats. We all want to wish you a very happy birvalenversary.
